TRUSTEE/DIRECTOR VACANCIES
Due to anticipated growth, the Kaleidoscope Learning Trust, a multi academy trust located in Hartford, wishes to appoint two more trustee/directors to the Trustee Board.
Being a trustee/director on the Trustee Board is a deeply rewarding commitment. The Trustee Board has overall legal responsibility for the operation and financial management of the Trust and its schools/academies, as well as setting the strategic direction of the Trust going forward. In practice, the operational aspects of the Trust and its schools are delegated to the CEO and headteachers.
The Trustee Board is looking for candidates with empathy, dedication and a genuine interest in the education of pupils and in fostering a culture in which every child can thrive academically, emotionally and socially.
Commitment for a trustee/director typically amounts to attending one Board meeting a term and one sub-committee meeting. Meetings start at 4.00pm and rarely last more than 2 hours.
Ideally, the Trust seeks trustee/directors with expertise in one of the following areas:
- Estate management
- Finance
- Organisation development
- Legal
- Marketing
- Parent/carer of a person with Special Educational Needs
However, if you don’t have experience in one of these areas, but have an over-riding interest in education and in giving something back to the community, we’d still like to hear from you.
